April 2025

Dear Friends,

At the Montana Community Foundation, we help you shape Montana's Future through giving. Each year, MCF's Impact Report offers an opportunity to reflect on what we’ve made possible together and to look ahead with a sense of purpose and optimism. It’s a chance to celebrate the impact of generosity across the state and to recognize the partnerships, programs, and people that are building stronger communities for today and tomorrow.

The 2024 Impact Report highlights a year of generosity, resilience, and forward-looking philanthropy. Inside, you’ll find a financial summary, a look at the reach of our collective impact, and stories from across Montana. These include the revitalization of Indigenous language at the Nkwusm Salish Language School, the growing momentum of our LCF+ Program, and the powerful role of legacy giving through our Legacy Society. Together, these efforts are building a future for Montana that extends far beyond our lifetimes, supporting communities today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Our Impact Report reflects a simple but powerful truth: philanthropy in Montana is personal, place-based, and evolving. That idea comes to life in our new podcast, Impact Under the Big Sky: Stories of Philanthropy in Montana. In our current episode, Reimagining Rural, we hear from Jennifer Anderson, MSU Extension Community Vitality Associate Specialist, and Taylor Crowl, MCF’s Community & Economic Vitality Program Officer, about how rural communities are creatively reimagining what giving looks like and why that matters for the future of our state.

We’re proud to share this work with you. Whether you're a donor, a grantee, or a champion of community, thank you for helping shape a stronger Montana.
