The Avista Community Scholarship program aims to support local residents, empowering them to reach their full potential as valued members of our community and pursue their dreams without needing to relocate. This scholarship intends to help students further their education and, ideally, return to contribute to our communities following the completion of a degree or other post-secondary program.

• The applicant must be a high school senior or graduate from a high school in Sanders County, Montana, or Clark Fork, Idaho, OR residents of Sanders County, Montana, or Clark Fork, Idaho, who have obtained high school equivalency (HiSET or GED).
• Applicant must be enrolled (or applying to be enrolled) as an undergraduate student at an accredited two or four-year college or university or an accredited vocational or technical institution in the United States.
• Avista employees and their immediate family members are ineligible for this scholarship.

This scholarship is inteded to help students who have graduated from Montana high schools and who intend to enroll, or are already enrolled, at baccalaureate degree-granting colleges and universities located within Montana.

• Applicant must be attending an accredited public or private college, university or college of technology.
• Applicant must be at least a college sophomore and enrolled as a full time student.

The Alan & Janette Blackburn Scholarship was created for the benefit of students who have graduated or who will graduate from a Montana High School.

• Applicant must have graduated in the upper 20% of their class.

The intent of the Bigger Sky Scholarship Fund is to assist students of any ethnicity in pursuing postsecondary education for the purpose of realizing their vocation. The founder of the Bigger Sky Scholarship Fund hopes to enable the dreams of a wide variety of students, including those who have not had the advantage of a stable home environment.

• Selection is based on the following criteria: academic achievement, financial need, and participation in school, community, and church activities.
• Applicant must plan to be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institution (university, college, community college, college of technology, or technical school).

• Applicant must have completed or be in the process of completing one-third of the required credits toward an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college, university, business, or vocational school.

• Applicant must be a graduating senior of Capital High School.
• Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
• Applicant must demonstrate leadership and good citizenship.

• Applicant must be a resident of the Golden Valley County and a graduating senior from Lavina or Ryegate High School.
• Applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Applicant must be currently or plan to be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary educational institution (university, college, community college, college of technology, or technical school).

• D.A. Davidson must employ the applicant's parent for a minimum of one year at the time the first award check is issued, or the parent must work at least 30-hrs a week
