Give Montana Businesses a Voice

By Mary K. Rutherford

Montana businesses are navigating an economic landscape shaped by rising costs, workforce challenges, and shifting consumer behavior. To better understand these realities on the ground, the Montana Community Foundation is partnering with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis to invite Montana business owners and leaders to participate in a short, confidential survey.

The survey is designed to capture real-time insight into how the economy is affecting businesses across Montana and neighboring states. Responses contribute to regional economic data that directly inform the work of the Minneapolis Fed, local partners, and policymakers. This information helps guide decisions that influence lending, workforce development, and economic policy, making it a true public good that ultimately benefits Montana businesses and communities.

By taking just a few minutes to share your experience, you ensure that Montana’s unique economic perspective is represented alongside larger regional trends. Whether your business is growing, holding steady, or facing challenges, your input matters and helps paint a more accurate picture of our state’s economic climate.

The survey is open through Friday, February 6, and all responses are confidential. We encourage Montana business owners and leaders to lend their voice and help shape a stronger, more informed economic future for our region. Click here to take the survey and make your experience count.
