Shyanne Wallace, LCF Program Officer

The Montana Community Foundation is thrilled to welcome Shyanne Wallace as our new Program Officer for Local Community Foundations, a role where she will support, strengthen, and elevate the work of affiliate community foundations across the state. With deep roots in rural Montana and a professional career built on community development and relationship-building, Shyanne brings both experience and heart to this role.

Shyanne joins MCF with a background in rural economic development and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director for Two Rivers Economic Growth, where she helped secure critical grant funding, built strategic partnerships, and led projects focused on revitalization, capacity building, and long-term community health. Shyanne has also served as a Rural Ambassador with the Montana Nonprofit Association since the beginning of 2025.

Her work has also intersected with tourism, community storytelling, and local business support. Shyanne is deeply invested in helping communities to articulate their identity, leverage local strengths, and invest in future growth. Throughout her career, she has been known for her collaborative approach, her ability to build strong networks, and her passion for helping rural places dream big and succeed.

Growing up in Frenchtown, Montana, Shyanne experienced firsthand the tight-knit nature, creativity, and resiliency of rural communities. These early experiences shaped her and laid the foundation for a career centered on helping people and places thrive.

Today, she continues to live and work in rural Montana, deeply connected to the fabric of Glasgow and Valley County. Her family owns and operates two beloved local businesses: Eugene’s Pizza and Sam and Jeff’s. Shyanne is proud to be part of a multi-generational rural family and to be able to raise her kids in a small community.

Outside of her professional life, Shyanne is a proud mom of two incredible teenage daughters who keep her grounded, inspired, and always on the go. Her family also includes Kali, a Catahoula Leopard dog who never misses a chance for adventure, and her partner, Jeff, with whom she has shared nearly 12 wonderful years. Shyanne’s “bonus” family includes 3 stepchildren and their families.

Shyanne is excited to join the Montana Community Foundation team and looks forward to working closely with local affiliates to strengthen philanthropy across the state. Her blend of professional expertise, personal connection to rural life, and unwavering belief in the power of community make her a great fit for this role.

Montana’s local community foundations are catalysts for possibility, and Shyanne is eager to help them grow, innovate, and build a lasting legacy in the places they call home.
