Background
The Fred & Gloria Thaut Webber scholarship was created to benefit graduating high school seniors in Big Horn County, Carbon County, and from Custer Public Schools.
Criteria
Required Criteria
The following are required criteria for this scholarship. Applicants must:
- be a graduating senior or graduate of a high school in Big Horn County, Carbon County, or Custer Public Schools (Yellowstone County).
- be one of the following:
- a high school senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75, or
- a full-time college student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, or
- a non-traditional college student enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- be enrolled, per the requirements of this scholarship, at an accredited postsecondary institution by the start of the first term of the awarded period.
Applications will be evaluated based upon the applicant's ability to demonstrate or discuss financial need and their participation in school, church, or community activities through requested documentation and essay question responses.
Applicants with mobility issue, physical disability or a learning or cognitive disability may be exempt from above, as circumstances warrant. Please contact us at Scholarships@mtcf.org, if applicable.
Preferred Criteria
Preference in consideration will be given to applicants who are:
- participating in 4-H, or
- pursuing a career in education, agriculture, agriculture-business, or agriculture-engineering.
