Background

The Hellgate High School Alumni Scholarship was born of a challenge to the Hellgate High School Class of 1971 to commemorate their 50th class reunion by funding a scholarship for at least one Hellgate High School graduate each year into the future. This scholarship seeks to support students who may not have achieved top honors academically, but who have maintained a better than average GPA and who have excelled in other areas of life.

Criteria

Required Criteria

The following are required criteria for this scholarship. Applicants must:

• be a graduating senior in good standing from Hellgate High School.
• demonstrate a high school GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• be enrolled at an accredited postsecondary institution in Montana by the start of the first term of the awarded period.

Selection is based on an assessment of essay responses, letters of recommendation, and co-curricular involvement.

Reapplication

Previous recipients are NOT allowed to apply again.
