If you are applying for a financial need-based scholarship, you must complete the 2024-2025 FASFA Form before submitting your MCF Scholarship Application.

Following a 'soft launch' by the Department of Education on December 31st, the 2024-2025 FASFA Form is now open at www.fafsa.gov. The application may be periodically unavailable for maintenance, and a brief ‘waiting room’ at the login is possible.

Criteria

• Application Access Code: 24MKSF
  
• Applicant must be a graduated from Jefferson High School in Boulder:
  • Must provide proof:
    • Copy of Diploma or
    • Copy of non-official transcript
• Applicant can be traditional, non-traditional, or graduate students.
• Applicant must have completed (1) successful year at an accredited public or private college, post-secondary educational institution
  • Must provide proof
    • Enrolled at accredited post-secondary college/university
    • Schedule of Fall credits. (Full-time or Part-time)
• Applicant must complete application essays
• Selection is based on: Academic resume, financial need, special circumstance(s)-Health, Life, Family concerns), and journalism experience.
• Special preference to those who pursue a career in teaching with consideration for those who plan to teach in areas of Journalism and Liberal arts.
• Awarded applicants may reapply for multiple years
