Background

The Sweet Grass County High School Centennial Scholarship was created to benefit graduates of Sweet Grass County High School in Big Timber, MT who have completed at least one year of postsecondary studies and are pursuing a degree or certificate.

Criteria

Required Criteria

The following are required criteria for this scholarship. Applicants must:

  • be a graduate of Sweet Grass County High School in Big Timber, MT.
  • have completed at least one year of courses and be a student in good standing at an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university, business or vocational school.
  • be actively pursuing a degree, certificate, or advanced degree.
  • be enrolled, per the requirements of this scholarship, at an accredited postsecondary institution by the start of the first term of the awarded period.

Continuing Criteria

Scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive the awarded scholarship for 3 academic years. Current recipients of this scholarship looking to continue the scholarship for another year must:

  • continue to meet the required criteria for this scholarship;
  • maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher; and
  • complete the MCF Continued Scholarship Form (sent via email in early Spring to each recipient).

Selection is based on financial need, academic achievement, and school, community and/or church activities.

Reapplication

Previous recipients are NOT allowed to apply again.
