Communications manager
Holly joined Montana Community Foundation in February 2026. She uses her storytelling skills and experiences from two decades of writing about Montanans to highlight the people, partnerships and communities that show how philanthropy can create lasting change across the state.
She previously was the managing editor at Montanan Free Press, a nonprofit online news organization. Before that she led the Montana State News Bureau, a team that covered politics and state government for Lee Newspapers in Montana. She has also worked as a reporter and editor at The Billings Gazette, (Helena) Independent Record, (Butte) Montana Standard and Ravalli Republic and appeared on Montana Public Radio’s Campaign Beat and Capitol Talk programs. Holly is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Journalism and lives in Helena with her family.
