Most notably, Mary served as the President of the University of Alaska Foundation and Chief Development Officer for the University of Alaska System.

Mary earned a master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. She is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
