2026 Grant Cycle Open
After a successful first round that awarded $5,000 to five local projects last fall, the Cut Bank Community Foundation (CBCF) is launching its second round of community grants — bolstered by new support recognizing its rapid growth and fundraising success.
CBCF has opened its 2026 grant cycle, inviting local nonprofits, community groups, and government entities to apply for funding that supports projects and programs benefiting Cut Bank residents. Applications are open from May 1–31, 2026, with grants starting at $500. Up to $8,000 may be awarded this cycle.
That opportunity is strengthened by recent support from the Montana Community Foundation (MCF), which awarded CBCF $8,000 in recognition of its successful endowment fundraising efforts in 2025. In less than two years, the CBCF advisory board has raised more than $60,000 for its permanent endowment.
“We are grateful for your commitment to growing long-term philanthropy and strengthening local resources, and we are honored to support your ongoing efforts,” said Mary K. Rutherford, President and CEO of Montana Community Foundation (MCF).
“Cut Bank has many needs that go unmet due to a lack of consistent funding,” said Woodring. “The CBCF is critical to keeping our community strong and thriving for generations to come. We’re especially thankful for the matching funds program MCF has partnered with us on to help grow this endowment and bring much-needed resources to Cut Bank.”
CBCF welcomes applications from eligible nonprofits, government entities, and organizations working with a fiscal sponsor. Funding is reserved for project- and program-based efforts; requests for political or religious activities, or individual needs are not eligible.
