Happy Holidays from MCF Staff!
We wish you all the best this holiday season and into the New Year.
End-of-Year Giving Reminder!
If you are still thinking about making a meaningful contribution before the year concludes, here is a reminder of some important dates that are quickly approaching.
- December 21 (Thursday): Gifts of appreciated stock should be made by Thursday, December 21 to be received by December 29. Notify MCF before initiating the transfer.
- December 26 – 29 (Tuesday - Friday): The last week of the calendar year! Wire transfers of cash must be received no later than Friday, December 29. We recommend initiating the transfer no later than Friday, December 22.
Why December 29th Matters:
- Stock Gift Settlement Deadline: The 29th isn't just any Friday; it's the end-all for stock gifts to settle and be considered part of your 2023 contributions. So, if you want your generosity to reflect in the upcoming tax year, this is your magic date.

Thank You for Your Service to MCF’s Outgoing Board Members
Kelly Bruggeman, 2014-2023
A heartfelt thank you to Kelly Bruggeman, whose unwavering dedication has illuminated the path for the Montana Community Foundation. As a board member and Past Chair, Kelly's impact has been extraordinary. Since 2014, Kelly has lent her expertise to MCF, leaving an indelible mark on our mission. Her extensive background in the financial sector, coupled with her role as a founding board member of two statewide Montana nonprofit organizations—NeighborWorks Montana and the Montana Financial Education Coalition—has brought immeasurable depth to our board.
Tawnya Rupe, 2014-2023
A sincere thank you to Tawnya Rupe for her dedicated service as a board member for the Montana Community Foundation (MCF) from 2014 to the end of 2023. Tawnya, also the founding board president of the Park County Community Foundation, has showcased exemplary commitment to community development. In addition to her board roles, Tawnya owns a successful agriculture business - we can only imagine how busy that keeps her, yet she makes time for others!
As we bid farewell to Kelly and Tawnya at the end of this year (2023), we extend our deepest gratitude for her exemplary service.
Thank you, Kelly and Tawyna, for being a beacon of inspiration and a driving force for positive change. Your legacy will continue to resonate within the heart of the Montana community.
