Chair (Helena)
Tom is the Chief Development Officer for Ascent Bank of Helena. He has been with the bank since 2016, when a group of investors (including himself) purchased it. Their goal is to use their resources to serve customers and help them thrive in a way that only a Community Bank can. Before entering the banking profession, Tom worked in risk management and insurance across the State of Montana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Carroll College and a master’s degree in business administration from Gonzaga University.
Born and raised in Helena, Tom is passionate about contributing to organizations in the Helena area and across the state. He is an alumnus of Leadership Montana and served as Chair of the organization’s Board of Governors and as Board Chair for the Montana Ambassadors. He has previously served on several Helena-area boards, including the Helena Regional Airport Authority, the Helena Education Foundation, and Grandstreet Theatre. He continues to dedicate his time to volunteer work with various groups in the Helena area.
Tom is a proud father of three children—two in college and one in middle school.
