Jessica Stewart serves as Chief Operating Officer of Montana Community Foundation, supporting internal operations and guiding the team in helping donors create lasting opportunities for Montana. Since joining MCF in 2015, she has brought her background in community organizing, engagement, and rural development to her work with donors, nonprofits, and local community foundations.
Jessica is also a faculty member for the Council on Foundations, bringing rural perspectives to its national Community Foundation Excellence Fundamentals course. In 2025 she completed the Council’s Career Pathways leadership fellowship, exploring how authentic leadership can strengthen organizational culture and service to communities.
Before joining MCF, Jessica researched community development in rural Appalachia. She graduated summa cum laude from Portland State University with a bachelor’s degree in American history and holds a master’s degree in public administration, with a focus on nonprofit management and community development, from Morehead State University.
